Free templates for mobile and general trades

General and handyperson work does not fit the paperwork designed for single-discipline trades. A typical day might be four properties and eleven small tasks, charged by the hour or the half day, with materials bought on the way. Documents built around one job with one quote and one invoice simply do not describe it.

These templates are built for that reality. The multi-task job sheet lists each task separately with its own time and materials, so an hour-and-a-half visit that covered a dripping tap, two curtain poles and a sticking door produces an itemised record the customer can actually check. Itemised sheets get queried far less often than a line that reads 'general works — 3 hours'.

The hourly and half-day rate record handles the awkward parts of time-based charging: minimum charges, travel between properties, waiting time, and how part hours are rounded. Agreeing those rules in writing at the start of a relationship prevents almost every later dispute about a bill.

The callout log is for firms taking reactive work from agents, landlords or commercial customers. It captures who instructed the visit, when, the priority agreed, when you attended against that priority, and the outcome. If you ever want to demonstrate that you hit your response times — or renegotiate a rate on the basis that you have — this is the evidence.

The no-access notice is small and disproportionately useful. Left at the property with the date and time, and copied to whoever instructed the visit, it turns a wasted journey into a documented and usually chargeable event rather than an hour you quietly absorb.

There is also a materials purchase record for on-the-day buying, with space for the receipt reference and the markup applied, so reimbursables do not vanish between the merchant and the invoice.
