Google Business Profile description writer
A description that fits Google's 750-character limit — your trade, area and services written properly, without the fluff Google would reject.
Your Google Business Profile description will appear here once generated.
Most trades businesses fill in their Google Business Profile description once, in a rush, and never look at it again. It ends up either blank, or a single line — "Plumbing services in Leeds" — that does nothing to help a homeowner decide whether to call you instead of the next name on the map. Google gives you 750 characters to actually say something: what you do, where you cover, and the jobs you're known for. This tool takes your business name, trade, area and a rough list of services and writes that description properly, sized to fit the limit.
Why this field is worth filling in properly
The description doesn't carry much weight for where you rank, but it matters for the person reading it — someone who's already searched "boiler repair near me" and is scanning three or four profiles before they pick up the phone. A description that says who you are, what you cover and what you do well is doing real work at that moment, and it costs nothing to have it right. A blank field, or one clearly copied from a template, does the opposite.
A worked example
Details in: business name "Patel Heating & Plumbing", trade "heating engineer", area "Bristol and surrounding areas", services "boiler repair, installs, servicing", 12 years trading. Description out: "Patel Heating & Plumbing is a heating engineering business covering Bristol and the surrounding areas, with 12 years' experience. We carry out boiler repairs, new installations and annual servicing for homeowners across the region, with appointments that fit around your day. Get in touch for a quote on your next heating job." Under 750 characters, no filler, nothing invented.
What this isn't
This is a first draft built only from what you type in — it won't invent a certification, an award or a years-trading figure you didn't give it, and it deliberately avoids the kind of claims ("best in Bristol", "guaranteed lowest prices") that Google can reject or flag on a business profile. It's AI-generated, so read it back before you paste it in: check the area and services are described the way you'd actually want a customer to read them, and adjust anything that doesn't sound like your business before it goes live.
